The page also contains two PoCs for Windows Server 2008R2 and Windows Server 2012 since the Windows Server 2008 exploit was based on Windows 7, we had to change some of the code. Both modules also have an exploitation proof of concept for Windows 7.
The module was developed by Ryan Nystrom, it is a generic Metasploit module that we use to perform brute forcing against windows servers. It supports multiple windows OSes, where they are available. Currently we support Windows XP to Windows 2012 Server. You can find Ryan’s PoC on GitHub here .
The Metasploit module sends RPC calls to an IIS web server that was configured to return only the first 500 attempts to retrieve files from an RPC path, like in the PoC. As far as we can see, this PoC cannot be used remotely.
The second PoC is for Windows Server 2008R2 and Windows Server 2012 and requires no configuration. It sends RPC calls to an IIS web server configured to return 500 attempts to retrieve files from an RPC path. As far as we can see, this PoC can be used remotely.
The exploit for the vulnerability may be simple, and can be attempted from the command line using the IEBatchFile.dll library. It is recommended to get a more detailed exploitation guide from the exploit-database .
Metasploit 3.2 Auxiliary (used by 5.5 million requests):
wp_test_dir (contains Remote code execution in WordPress (RCE))
wp_post_link (contains XSS in WordPress (CSRF))
WP_Functions (contains XSS in WordPress (CSRF))
wp_get_nav_menu_object (contains Remote code execution in WordPress (RCE))
In our tests we have seen that the Windows Server 2008 Critical RCE Vulnerabilities (unnamed) Nessus plugin is the most reliable (for the moment) option to detect this kind of vulnerabilities.
I am running a PC with Windows 7 and Adobe Photoshop CS6. I am wondering how to end the trial period and convert to a full copy of Photoshop CS6. I tried closing down Photoshop, which produced a message telling me to return the disk. I did that, but the same message returned. How can I end this?
