Essentially, Bitcoin mining software take as many guesses at the hash as possible in the shortest amount of time, increasing the device's odds of earning a block reward and giving miners a competitive advantage. However, the advanced hardware required to power Bitcoin mining software uses an enormous amount of electricity, which can have a considerable environmental impact.
Bitcoin mining helps power and secure the Bitcoin network. Since multiple computers have to agree on each transaction before it is validated, miners help keep this decentralized network safe, traceable and transparent.
Mining also offers miners the opportunity to make a profit, as the winner of each block reward earns 6.25 BTC, a significant sum of money. And while most blocks are solved by huge pools with thousands of miners, there are blocks that are occasionally solved by an individual miner.
I'm new to the Monero community, but I've successfully mined many other cryptocurrencies. After a couple hours of digging, I could not find a pre-built CPU miner for OSX. Could someone point me in the right direction?
I have been using YAM CPU miner for some time. You can download it from mega.nz. Note that that website doesn't support Safari properly. Either use Chrome or Firefox (or Tor Browser) instead.
A common misconception is that miners are running their GPUs at full throttle 24/7, overclocked and running hot. That's not entirely true. Experienced miners almost universally underclock their cards and reduce their maximum power levels to achieve a nice balance of hashrate, cool temperatures and lower energy bills. On my GTX 1060 mining rig, for example, each card is running at only 75W instead of their default of 120W. I've overclocked each one's memory clock by a whopping 700MHz, and despite this the fans are only at about 40% with the cards sitting comfortably under 70C.

Hi, I cannot download Nicehash as Norton tells me it is a Trojan and deletes it. The system also tells me that 'thousands of users in the Norton Community have used this file' ! This is a bit of a contradiction to say the least, from what I can see Nicehash is a trusted miner resource. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.
Hi I have been stuck on this for 4 days straight. How to set up a nice hash miner program in the background? I have been able to use 4 CPUs for mining: 2 Pcs and 2 Mac OS, and they run successfully for nice hash but I was wondering how I could run the miners in the background while I am logged out or if someone else is logged in. i have tried system task manager, amphetamine on MAC OS system, andwriting command lines scripts, etc. If anyone has any way to run a nice hash miner in the background through some way please share. Thanks.
Everyone is searching for alternatives to Nicehash. The NiceHash exchange is a place where people turn in their computing power over to miners who want to create a new coins. This makes it easier for users to get access to mining solutions without having to compete with massively large miners from all over the world.
Mining Bitcoins can still be profitable. This process includes special equipment (e.g., GPU, ASIC, FPGA), which uses computing power and software applications for controlling mining devices. When speaking about Bitcoin mining, we need to figure out the software which is compatible with ASIC miners.
CGMiner is a GPU, FPGA, and ASIC miner, made in the form of a command line. It is an open-source product installed on several platforms, including macOS, Linux, and Windows. The miner has the broadest range of features and an active community, making it indispensable for every miner.
Users can regulate the speed of mining performance. However, high speed reduces overall work efficiency and exhausts the hardware. The miner can also adjust the intensity automatically. Also, they can true up the fan speed and overclock a GPU.
BFGMiner is a console mining application that maximizes the potential of the equipment. In the BFGminer program, the configuration is executed by entering the program code into the control file in C language.
After entering variable values following the BFGminer pool settings, all you need to do is save the .bat file and start the mining process. The latest versions of BFGminer are designed to work primarily with ASIC/FPGA devices. Run the parameter opencl: auto to begin mining on video cards.
Easyminer serves as a GUI for the previously mentioned software. Easyminer developers tried to create the most beautiful graphical interface possible to unify various settings for cryptocurrency mining.
Awesome Miner is a solution for managing and monitoring mining operations on GPU rigs and ASICs (CPU mining is also available). Besides, it is possible to perform operations for both individual miners and groups. You can create templates for easier customization and even use the Awesome miner for free, but you can have no more than two miners. The list of available functions will also be limited.
Hive OS makes it easy to manage farms of any size. Auto fen controls the temperature, while the commands can be executed automatically, according to your own schedule. Switching between pools, wallets, or coins takes about a second. The miner and the feature lists are regularly updated. The workers can be controlled remotely from anywhere in the world. 2b1af7f3a8
